The Portal
This diptych was created in two seemingly unrelated settings: one, a natural cave by the salt lake in Qinghai, China; the other, a circular patch of light that appeared by chance on my home table. One is vast and profound, the other small and quiet—yet in a certain moment, both opened up a hidden threshold before me. These images do not aim to document concrete objects, but rather to suggest a shift in spatial perception and an awakening of awareness—when the world, somewhere, suddenly opens a crack trhough a portal.
